Cookie Policy
Effective October 21, 2026 · Last updated October 21, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ManMode LLC ("ManMode", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on manmode.app. It's part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work or to remember a choice you made. Others, like analytics cookies, help a site understand how it's used. "First-party" cookies are set by the site you're visiting; "third-party" cookies are set by another company's domain.
2. Our approach
- We use one strictly necessary cookie to remember your cookie choice.
- We use Google Analytics cookies only if you click Accept. Until then, and if you decline, the Google Analytics script isn't loaded at all, no request is sent to Google, and no analytics cookies are set.
- We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media plugins or cross-site tracking. Google Analytics runs with advertising features and Google Signals turned off.
- We don't use local storage or session storage to track you.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
mm_consent | ManMode (first-party) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don't ask again on every page | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
_ga | Google Analytics (set on manmode.app) | Distinguishes visitors with a random ID so we can count unique visitors. Set only after you accept. | Up to 2 years (some browsers, like Chrome, cap it at about 13 months) | Analytics |
_ga_TBCLLXSD81 | Google Analytics (set on manmode.app) | Keeps track of your current session and visit count. Set only after you accept. | Up to 2 years (some browsers cap it at about 13 months) | Analytics |
Cloudflare security cookies. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, can set strictly necessary cookies if a security feature needs to check that a visitor isn't a bot, for example __cf_bm (bot detection, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity) or cf_clearance (records that a security challenge was passed). We don't currently use the Cloudflare features that set them, so you normally won't see them. If we turn one on, we'll update this list. Cloudflare's own list is in its cookie documentation.
4. Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. It reopens the cookie banner, where Accept and Decline work the same way as the first time.
- If you switch from Accept to Decline, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser straight away and stop loading Google Analytics.
- Your choice is stored only in your browser. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, we'll ask again.
5. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as declining analytics. Google Analytics stays off, and the cookie banner tells you that we detected the signal. If you want analytics on anyway, you can choose Accept in Cookie Settings; we'll only turn it on if you do. More in our Privacy Policy.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings. Blocking all cookies won't stop the site from working, but we won't be able to remember your cookie choice, so the banner will keep appearing. Google also offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site. See your browser's help pages for details.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. If we add a new kind of cookie that needs your consent, we'll ask you again before setting it.
